tasting at la tortilla feliz

On July 12, there is a beer tasting at La Tortilla Feliz, along with a chip and dip buffet. Cost is $15 pp, or $27 a couple. I’ve never been to a tasting there, but we eat at this place on a regular basis. They specialize in South and Central American dishes from Guatlamala to Cuba -and hands down make the BEST sangria! The food is pretty reasonable. In fact, we often spend more on the sangria then we do the food. The last time we went there, our bill was $100 – and the food portion was only $20! The pitchers get you every time. My favorite dishes include the empanadas, tinga and arepa de reina pepiada for appetizers, and the shrimp in the almond sauce for dinner. The flan is amazing, too. Sometimes we go and split a bunch of appetizers, which will easily fill you up. They do have a small patio (where we celebrated my sister’s 40th and had a great night) and sometimes have live music.

Of course I’m busy that night. It sounds like fun. Thanks for all the tidbits.
