bad for new york, good for cleveland

By way of eater.com, I saw that Michael Symon’s Greek NYC restaurant, Parea, in Gramercy has closed. I read not too long ago in the PD that the head chef was moving back to Cleveland to open a gastropub, (a bar that serves high-quality food which is a step above normal pub grub)which he will call allso call Gastropub (possibly located in Ohio City for winter opening). Not sure if that’s part of the reason for the closing, but all I know it’s good to have the Symons in Cleveland full time. Hopefully they see it that way, too. For what it’s worth, I’ve heard nothing but great things about the food, service and decor at Parea.
