My husband and I went for a late lunch at Blue Canyon in Twinsburg. The weather was gorgeous and we wanted to sit on the patio – and they have the best patio hands down. We were almost more excited about the patio than the food! The patio is nestled behind the restaurant and well hidden from its surroundings. The floor is stamped concrete that blends three different colors to form a rustic looking design. There is a lot of gigantic, oversized stones bordering one side with a simple waterfall and beautiful landscaping. The bar is nicely decorated as well with its own giant fireplace. And in the center of the patio, is another huge fire pit designed for guests to sit alongside. You can tell the owners really took their time with this addition and put a lot of care and money into it.
When you dine on the patio, they offer a limited menu. We opted to split a flatbread with BBQ chicken, cheddar cheese, charred scallions and a sauce that had a slight kick to it. I’m not a big fan of chicken but really enjoyed this dish. Between that, my glass of Cabernet and the view, it was a great lunch.
Blue Canyon is a also one of our favorite places for dinner, especially in the fall (the fall menu features a lot of classic dishes with a twist and unique blendings of fall flavors). Some people find this place hit or miss, but we’ve been there 6 or 7 times now and have enjoyed each and every meal.
