Over the years, I have noticed Chuck’s Fine Wines in Chagrin Falls but never bothered to venture inside, until the other week.
After our ritual weekend stop to the Starbucks in the falls for coffee and the paper, we decided to walk over and pick up some champagne for a friend’s birthday.
Chuck’s, which has been around for as long as I can remember, has all the charm you might expect in this part of town. The customer service was top notch, friendly and welcoming. The sales women talked to us in great detail about our event and what champagne the recipient might like best. In addition to boasting a wine selection from all over the world, they feature over 400 varieties of beer/ale and a rather large cheese and gourmet section.
On the way out, the women informed us they also offer wine tastings the second weekend of the month. For $35, you’re treated to a delux tasting and a small meal prepared by a local chef.
We used to live in Chagrin Falls, way back when before the kiddos. We loved going to Chuck's even then. We still venture out that way every now and then and usually stop in to see what's changed. It is a good memories type of place for me.
