I’m heading back to California tomorrow, specifically Sonoma and San Francisco. Thankfully this time, it’s longer than a day trip.
I’m attending a conference for work that just happens to be in Sonoma. Ok, so the location is ideal but I’m actually a total geek in that I’m really excited to attend this conference. I love my job and the industry I work in; there are a lot of really well-respected and super smart people attending and I’m excited to hear what they have to say and hopefully learn a thing or to.
And since it just happens to be in a part of the country that we’ve been eager to visit for some time, Jamie is coming with and we’re making a vacation out of it. We’ll spend five days exploring wine country then head to San Francisco for the weekend. We have both been to San Fran before, but this will be our first trip out there together.
We have picked out most of the wineries and restaurants we plan to visit. Here are the ones I’m most excited about: For Sonoma, The General’s Daughter and Charlie Palmer’s Dry Creek Kitchen. In San Fran, Incanto (chef Chris Cosentino from Next Iron Chef), Slanted Door and Boulevard.
More to come.

I too will be going to San Francisco in a month or so and can't wait to dive into the fabulous restaurants and cafes in the city. I actually just returned from the Livermore area and had wonderful wine and food adventures. I have been doing extensive research on the options, but any other suggestions would be great. Thanks.
