dante in this month’s food & wine

In this month’s Food & Wine, I full expected to see one of our chefs since the issue focuses on the best new chefs and a look back at the hall of fame of previous winners. But no, the magazine mistakenly overlooked both our new and seasoned chefs (Symon) who previously won this honor.

As I kept on reading and tearing out recipes to later try to duplicate, I was pleasantly surprised when I came across this nice hit for Dante for compiling one of the best new wine lists of the year.
Congratulations to both Dante Bocuzzi and sommelier/GM Dave Eselgroth. The positive coverage for our restaurant scene continues to shine on Cleveland. This is something all the chefs and restaurant owners in our area should be very proud of.

    And this weekend past (June 5-9), 10 foodies from around the country gathered in Cleveland to eat. New York City to San Francisco, including Philadelphia, Chicago and Charleston.

    I love Dante… Last time I was there I had the pasta with braised short ribs and the skate, along with a lovely little Corvina. Great restaurant.

    My BF has to order calamari. I give in if he pays. They had an awesome calamari. No shit.
