reds, whites and brews

Interested in doing a good deed this summer and supporting your inner foodie at the same time? What if that good deed involved sampling some of the best wines, beers and tapas at the picturesque Shoreby Club?

The deed in question is the 7th annual Reds, Whites & Brews – a Toast to Literacy, which benefits Cleveland Reads. In case you aren’t familiar with this worthy cause, Cleveland Reads is an organization that serves as the Greater Cleveland resource and advocate for youth, adult and family literacy.

Current distributors (through Little Italy Wines) for the event include: Private Reserve,
Barrel Aged, Bel Vino, Cutting Edge, Hammer, Heidelberg, 55 Degrees and Bowling Green Beverage. Additional distributors are currently being added.

There will also be a silent auction featuring some highly sought-after items. I am still kicking myself for not increasing my bid on the basketball signed by all the CAVS players at last year’s event.

Event Details

  • Saturday, July 19
  • The Shoreby Club
  • 7 p.m.
  • $90 per person ($45 tax deductible) or $160 per couple ($70 tax deductible)

In the interest of full disclosure, my husband is on the board for Cleveland Reads. I can vouch first-hand what a wonderful organization this is. We truly enjoyed ourselves at the event last year and am especially looking forward to it this year because of the wonderful new location.
