design*sponge shows love for cleveland

My friend Danielle over at Room Service not only has an amazing, must-visit store in the Detroit Shoreway neighborhood and quite the eye for exceptional design, she absolutely loves Cleveland. And you can read all about her love for our city in Design*Sponge, one of the best sites dedicated to home and product design out there. Since I’m about a week or so behind my DS reading, thanks to Candis for bringing it to my attention.

In her highly informative post, Cleveland Design Guide, Danielle dishes on what a dining destination our town has become and breaks down all the must-see attractions in our neighborhoods. She even recognizes Cleveland Foodie, along with I Heart Cleveland and Cleveland Epicure. Thank you, Danielle, and congratulations!

This is one of those posts you need to print out and carry with you at all times.

A few interesting things I learned:

*Grace Bonney of Design*Sponge has a crush on Mike Symon

*I really need to check out the Glass Bubble Project (Jamie has been wanting to take a class for the longest time) and the Lingg Showroom

*I can’t believe I still haven’t been to Heck’s for a burger…

*Danielle also thinks Lakeview Cemetery is a cool place to visit. I couldn’t agree more. Considering I’m afraid of my own shadow, I’m really not one for cemeteries – but this is the exception to the rule. When I lived in the Heights, that park was part of my walking routine. I took Jamie there last fall so he could explore and see for himself. I even put some change on Rockefeller’s monument (according to the legend, by doing this he’ll share his wealth with you). I’m still waiting.
