cleveland’s newest foodie

Cleveland, meet Natalie Jean who made her big debut on the afternoon of December 10. We’re all doing great and couldn’t be more in love with our new daughter.
Natalie is named after my 94-year-old Sicilian grandmother (her middle name comes from Jamie’s mom). My grandma is one of the strongest, most generous and all around amazing women I know – and not to mention quite the talent in the kitchen (her sauce and spiedini are legendary). I have always enjoyed a special bond with my gram and I hope our daughter inherits more than her name (and great know-how in the kitchen).

Since we have our hands full at the moment as first-time parents, chances are pretty good we won’t be heading out to eat right away. In the meantime, look for guest posts on area restaurants, plus recipes and a few Metromix reviews that have yet to post.

But don’t worry, it won’t be too long before we’re back out and about and introducing our little foodie to Cleveland’s finest.

Congratulations on your new baby!

I'll be interested to see what restaurants you guys go to now - I'm due in March and am concerned our options will be reduced to places like red robin.... ugh.

Just beautiful!!

Congrats and many well wishes.

Matt

Congratulations and enjoy your blessing!

Belated congratulations Michelle!!

Oh my goodness, she's beautiful! Congratulations! Enjoy this time...and your very special Christmas gift.

Thank you everyone!! I truly apreciate the kind words and well wishes!

OMG just look at that precious little sweet pea.....awwww.

Congratulations Michelle and Jamie!

Congratulations from Memphis! The child is fortunate to be born in a city with a rich culinary tradition to parents who are obviously willing to take full advantage of it.

Despite the differences in weather (it will be in the 60s tomorrow), I still miss Cleveland in the winter.

Buona fortuna, Natalie.

Congratulations! What a beautiful baby.

Congratulations. The only thing that could possibly be better than this is to be named after a Sicilian nonna. That's about as close to perfection as life comes. Enjoy her.

Congrats! Glad to hear you and the baby are healthy. God bless and enjoy the new life in your life.
