My favorite thing about Playhouse Square is my memories of discovering theater: When I was a little girl, it was such a treat to go downtown with Mom and Dad, all dressed up, and see the city, walk through the amazing lobby of the State Theatre, then be escorted to a plush seat and witness the telling of a great story. Other favorite thing is rediscovering Playhouse Square as an adult, when I can really appreciate how special a place it is. (Enjoying the beautiful details of the State Theatre lobby is still at the top of the list.)

It’s great to see E4th expanding with new choices in restaurants. It’s a good compliment to the Playhouse Square complex, specially with the free Trolley service.

My favorite thing about Playhouse is the architecture. It’s an absolute beauty and sometimes I spend more time looking at the design and decor than whatever is going on onstage.

Of course the Cheap Seats are the best part. You can splurge a little to see your favorites, or get the cheap seats so you don’t miss the fun!

Love the history and elegance of The Playhouse Square – from the crystal chandeliers hanging from the ultra high ceilings to the mural-painted walls. . .

We have a lot of wonderful memories, watching anything from theatrical to live radio to indie rock performances. Not to mention experiencing a fun wine event last year. . .

Here’s to many, many more memories being made at this incredible Cleveland landmark*

We are very lucky to have PlayhouseSquare and everything that it brings to this city. I love that I can see Shakespeare in the afternoon, a Broadway musical that evening, and a rock concert the next day. I grew up going to see student matinees, have worked for one of the resident companies of the district, and will continue to support our local arts community.
