fall foraging with chef ben bebenroth

foragingIf you know Ben Bebenroth, either through the farmers’ markets, Spice of Life Catering or his Plated Landscape dinners, you’ve likely caught on that this chef is all about local – not just utilizing local farmers, but growing  and finding food himself whenever possible.

Now you can tag along. Beginning September 22, he will be teaching a foraging class at Case Western Reserve University at the University Farm Campus (which I didn’t even realize existed until earlier this summer).

The class, which is open to the public, takes students into the woods to learn how to identify all things edible, plus discussion on cooking methods, recipes, etc. Classes cost $75 and will be held 9/22, 9/29 and 10/6. To learn more or to sign up, call CWRU at 216-368-2090.
