			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I&#8217;m not part of <a href="http://www.slowfoodnorthernohio.blogspot.com/">Slow Food</a>, though I&#8217;m a fan of the group and have several friends that are involved. I keep telling myself I need to join because I often hear of the really great events after the fact (<span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_0">Momocho</span> had one last month that was kid-friendly!). But not this time. My friend Heidi Robb, who is helping coordinate this dinner, shared with me the details of this month&#8217;s event at <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_1"><a href="http://umamiasiankitchen.com/">Umami</a></span>, the super tiny Asian restaurant in Chagrin Falls (look for a full review shortly &#8211; I&#8217;ve been three times now and each time am more impressed).</p>
<p>Seats are limited (did I mention this place is small?) so if interested, call soon. The cost is $75 per person, but that includes tax and gratuity. Here are the details:</p>

<p><strong>Taste of Terra Madre</strong> / <a href="http://firefoodanddrink.com/">Fire Food and Drink<br /></a>Tonight is the last night! (sorry for the late posting)</p>
<p>Chef Douglas Katz of Fire is hosting a series of Slow Food Nights next week in support of Terra Madre 2008.</p>
<p>Katz, a 2006 Terra Madre delegate, will offer the following Taste of Terra Madre prix fixe special:</p>
<p>*Amish polenta cake with maple glazed bacon, grilled sweet onions and pea tendrils<br />*Sauteed walleye, sweet corn, green tomato and roasted pepper saute with jalapeno cream or<br />*Chicken thighs, sauteed greens, black eyed peas, rice and barbeque jus</p>
<p>*Roasted peach with candied pecans, creme fraiche ice cream and honey-lime syrup<br />Price: $48 prix fixe (beverage, tax and gratuity additional)</p>
<p>For each Taste of Terra Madre special ordered, Chef Katz will donate $10 to Slow Food Northern Ohio’s Terra Madre 2008 fund.</p>
