And until last week, I never even heard her name. That was until Amelia e-mailed several local bloggers asking for help. None of us know her. But she’s a fellow blogger. She’s a mom. She’s roughly my age. And she’s fighting for her life. And if God forbid something were to happen to me, my husband, our daughter or someone I care deeply about, I’d want people to help us.

Amelia is organizing a happy hour at The Greenhouse Tavern to raise funds to benefit Anissa’s family. December 3 // 5 p.m. to 7 p.m // Beer-wine-food specials

None of us know her, but it’s the holidays and the time to help those in need. Because anyone one of us could be in her shoes and would want the help and support of strangers.
